GPSA Meetings

Below are the TENTATIVE meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2022 calendar year. All meeting are held on the third Monday of the month in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Banquet Date/Application Deadline

The deadline for nominations each year is Aug. 1.  The 2022 Banquet is tentatively set for Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2022. Go to the Application tab above to download and fill out an application today.

William S. "Bill" Heath

High School: Attended Pueblo Central H.S...Graduated with his GED (1942-46)... Heath earned 10 varsity letters...He was the quarterback on the team that won the State Championship in 1944...Wrestled for coach Frank A. Slack at 165 lbs., and qualified for the state tournament in 1946 (first Central team to go to State Tournament)... He lost to Harrison from Loveland by Fall (:48)...Competed on the Wildcats track team in the javelin and broad jump events...Played three seasons of softball.

College: Went to Pueblo Junior College (PJC) from 1946-48 and Colorado A&M (now Colorado State University in Fort Collins) from 1948-51...Played quarterback for two years at PJC... Transferred to Colorado A&M where he earned two varsity letters as a quarterback for the Rams football team and competed on the track team in the javelin/broad jump...He played in the football programs first bowl game - the Raisin Bowl.

Advanced Education:  Obtained a Masters Degree from Colorado A & M, in 1956.
 
Coaching Background: Coached in Junior High School - was the head coach in football, wrestling, basketball and track (in 1954, all teams he coached went undefeatd)

Administration: Heath was an official for 28 years (football, wrestling and baseball)
    
Occupation:  Teacher/Counselor - School District #60   1951-81
