GPSA Meetings

THERE ARE NO MEETINGS SCHEDULED FOR THE REST OF 2020 DUE TO COVID-19. Below are the TENTATIVE meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2021 calendar year. All meeting are held on the third Monday of the month in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Banquet Date/Application Deadline

The deadline for nominations each year is Aug. 1.  The 2020 Banquet is tentatively set for Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021. Go to the Application tab above to download and fill out an application today.

Sam Dazzio

High School: Attended Pueblo Centennial H.S., graduating in 1953.. Was a four-sport star athlete for the Bulldogs earning 12 varsity letters... Dazzio competed in track, as a quarter mile runner (four years: 1950-53); football, playing fullback (three  years: 1950-52), and earning all state honors in 1952; Baseball, starting in the outfield (three years: 1951-53) and basketball as a guard for two seasons (1952-53).

College: Went to Pueblo Junior College (PJC) for two years (1956-57) playing football (defense)... Transferred to Western State College in Gunnison, CO, where he played two more seasons (1958-59) of football for the Mountaineers on defense before graduating in 1960.

Coaching Career: Spent entire 10 years coaching at Centennial H.S., five years each as an assistant on the baseball team (1966-71) and an assistant on the Bulldogs football squad (1965-70)...Dazzio also served four seasons (1961-64) as the school's head cross country coach.

Achievements: Named to the Centennial Hall of Fame in 1975... Earned entry into the Centennial Distinguished Citizens Hall of Fame in 1993.

Occupation: Teacher/Coach  -  School District #60;  Entrepreneur

Personal: Lives in Pueblo with his wife, Barbara (Giordano)
