Attended Pueblo St. Patrick's H.S., graduating in 1928...Played four years (1025-28) at center on the Shamrocks basketball team...Played on State Catholic Championship Team that took fourth place in the National Catholic Tournament where he was named the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament...Played on the Piggly Wiggly basketball team of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU)...Played four years of baseball manning first base (925-28).

College:
Began his career at Notre Dame where he played forward on the Irish basketball team for one season (1929-30)...Transferred to Colorado College, in Colorado Springs, CO, where graduated in 1933...Member of the Tigers baseball team for four seasons (1930-33) playing first base.

Achievements:
Recruited by “Dutch” Clark (Basketball Coach at Colorado College during his off season playing football for the Detroit Lions) to come to Colorado College and play basketball for them.

Occupation:
Started the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store Chain...Sales with the Monroe Calculator Company...Later a division of Litton Industries...He worked for Monroe-Litton as a salesman for 30 years in Cheyenne, WY.

Personal:
Lived in Cheyenne, WY with his wife, Carol (Mesnar) Sabo...Passed away on February 8, 2006.
