Worked as a football and basketball official in the South Central League - football (33 years) and basketball (25 years) as well as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference - Basketball (12 years) and football (eight years).
Coaching Career:
Basketball coach at Corwin Middle School for 11 seasons (1984-94) and three years in the City Men’s League (1992-94).
Achievements:
● Officiated many play-off games across the state. 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, and 2A Championship games.
● President of the High School Officials Group - two terms - four years.
● Executive board member for eight terms - 16 years.
● South Central League - State High School Football/Basketball.
● Head Referee (white hat) for many Bell games.
● Managed the fields for the Slow-pitch League for the City of Pueblo for six years (1990-95).
● Since 1990, worked with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as a middle school sponsor and board member.
● Recognized as "Person of the Year" for Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
● Organized a men's golf league on Wednesdays at Walking Stick Golf course while working there one day a week (volunteered to "help out" in the snack shack and at the clubhouse when needed).
Achievements:
● Activities Director for seven years at Pueblo Central H.S. (1983-90).
● Served as District#60 Activities Director for six years (1993-99).
● Director of Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) - State Basketball Seeding Committee.
● Director of the Colorado State Cross Country Meet for 13 years 1984-1997.
● CHSAA Director for baseball (9 yrs.), Volleyball (4 yrs.), Track (2 yrs.) and served as a Board Member of the Appeals Committee.
Occupation:
Worked as an official and also taught physical education in Pueblo School District at both Ben Franklin Elementary and Corwin Middle School for a total of 37 years, impacting the lives of over 10,000 students...He was consistently active in after school activities and sport with students of all ages.
Personal:
Lives in Pueblo with his wife, Kathy.
