GPSA Meetings

Below are the TENTATIVE meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2022 calendar year. All meeting are held on the third Monday of the month in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Banquet Date/Application Deadline

The deadline for nominations each year is Aug. 1.  The 2022 Banquet is tentatively set for Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2022. Go to the Application tab above to download and fill out an application today.

Paul Gradishar

High School: Attended Pueblo Roncalli H. S. and Pueblo Central H.S... Played baseball, football and basketball... As a member of the Roncalli H. S. baseball team, Paul played catcher and batted fourth in helping the team to the state championship...He batted fourth and played catcher at Pueblo South H.S... Gradishar was the only player to have played on four American Legion state championship teams...Earned  All-City, All-Conference and All-State...Paul played linebacker, punter and kicker on the football teams at Roncalli H.S. and Pueblo South H.S...Was selected to the All-City, All-Conference and Denver Post All-State teams...Was the sixth man on the basketball team for a season that helped the Colts to the state tournament.

College: Went to the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, Co, graduating in 1977...As a freshman, Gradishar played left field on the Bears' baseball team that went to the College World Series...Moved behind the plate to play catcher his final three years.

Running: Paul was a 26-Mile marathon runner.
 
Coaching Background: Paul coached Bambino League and coached the 1998 All Stars to Runner-ups in the National Tournament.

Contributor: Paul was a member of the Runyon Field Committee...He umpired baseball for 10 years and is a former President of the Umpire Association...Gradishar was responsible for the trees around the Youth Park at Runyon Field...He collected the money and personally planted the trees..Paul was an active coach and officer in several youth baseball programs including Bambino and was the originator and director of the hit and run tournament.

Personal: Lives in Pueblo with his wife, Lynette.
