GPSA Meetings

Below are the TENTATIVE meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2022 calendar year. All meeting are held on the third Monday of the month in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Banquet Date/Application Deadline

The deadline for nominations each year is Aug. 1.  The 2022 Banquet is tentatively set for Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2022. Go to the Application tab above to download and fill out an application today.

Kathleen "Kat" Hancock

High School: Attended Pueblo Centennial H.S., graduating in 1988.

Athletics: Hancock played forward for four seasons on the Bulldogs girls basketball and as a runner on the track team (1985-88).

Centennial H.S. (Track)
- 10 time individual South-Central League (S-CL) Champion in 100, 200 and 400 meter dash
- Twice named 3A/4A State Champion in the 400 meter dash (1986 & 1987)
- Finished second at the 3A/4A State Track & Field Championship in the 400 meter dash in 1986
- Centennial H.S. and S-CL record holder in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dash
- Four-year varsity letterwinner
- Other State meet finishes: 3rd in 200 meters ('87-'88); 5th in the 100 meters ('86-'87) and 7th in the 200 meters (1985)

Centennial H.S. (Basketball)
- All South-Central League (S-CL) selection (1988)
- Selected to the 1988 All-State 3A/4A Basketball Game
- Leading scorer in the S-CL 3A Conference
- Three-year varsity starter and letterwinner

College: Attended Iowa State University on a four year scholarship...Still ranks in the Top 5 all-time performances in the 400 meters in the Hawkeyes' track record books and Top-10 as a member of the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams as of 2015.

High School Honors:
- Hancock's two state high school titles in the 400 meter dash were featured in a "Greatest Moments" story by the GPSA in 2015.  Read story here...
- Voted "Miss C" by here peers as the outstanding female athlete at Centennial in 1988
- Selected as the 1988 Prom Queen.

Occupation: Works as a firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician in the Denver area.

Personal: Kathleen has an older sister, Freda who was inducted into the GPSA Hall of Fame in 1998.
