Joe Thomas "Joe" Pannunzio II
High School: Attended Pueblo County H.S., graduating in 1978...Three year starter at quarterback for the Hornets (1975-77)... Joe earned All-League and All-State selection and led the state in passing...He was selected to play in the All-State game and was voted Best quarterback in Southern League... Pannunzio also played three years (1975-77) of basketball (point guard and team captain) and was a pitcher on the Hornets baseball team.
College: Went to the University of Southern Colorado (CSU-Pueblo) and graduated in 1982...Played four years (1978-81) of football for the Indians and started at quarterback his junior and senior seasons...Under Joe's direction, the Indians amassed 2,981 yards of total offense, scoring 17 rushing touchdowns (four in one game) and passed for 2,703 yards and 22 touchdowns...Named the team captain and team MVP his senior year.
