High School:
Attended Pueblo Central H.S., graduating in 1950...He played three seasons (1947-49) of football as a back and one year of baseball as a pitcher for the Wildcats (1950).

Achievements:
Baseball:
● Considered one of the Best Pitchers in High School in the State of Colorado.
● Leading pitcher for the Pueblo Central State Baseball Championship Team that was recognized as the 1st State Baseball Champions by CHSAA in the Spring of 1950.
