GPSA Meetings

Below are the TENTATIVE meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2022 calendar year. All meeting are held on the third Monday of the month in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Banquet Date/Application Deadline

The deadline for nominations each year is Aug. 1.  The 2022 Banquet is tentatively set for Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2022. Go to the Application tab above to download and fill out an application today.

Frank DeLeon

High School: Attended Pueblo Central, graduating in 1950...Lettered three years playing baseball as a pitcher and two years each in football and basketball for the Wildcats...Named All-South Central League in 1948...

College: Went to Pueblo Junior College (PJC) and lettered two years playing baseball... DeLeon was the first pitcher in PJC history to throw a no-hit, no-run game...His averaged strikeouts: 15 batters per game over two years at PJC...Transferred to the University of Northern Colorado and graduated in 1958.
    
Military: Spent two years (1953-54) as a pitcher in the military...

Professional Ball:  Pitched for three I League teams from 1954-56... Posted a career pitching record of 11-9

Coaching Career:  Started his coaching career as the head football coach for five seasons at Pitts Junior high (1960-65)...Moved on to Pueblo South H.S., where DeLeon was an assistant coach for four years (1965-69) and head baseball coach during that same time.

Outside Coaching:  Frank was the Aquatic Director for the Pueblo Summer Program.

Officiating Career:  Officiated football (12 years), basketball (11 years) and baseball for three seasons.

Personal:  Lives in Pueblo with his wife, Josephine.
