Achievements:
Art has supported many organizations and Athletic Teams over some 37 plus years. The support that Art has given have been to a variety of activities such as: the Pueblo Symphony, Pueblo Municipal Band, Pueblo Community College, Broadway Theater League, Sangre de Christo Arts Center, Pueblo YMCA, the Medal of Honor Society, Pueblo County Jazz Band.
Art also established a baseball Endowment in 1997 to provide scholarships to deserving Athletes. Art Contributes to the CSU-Pueblo Football and Wrestling program, he funds the "Pack at the Park Night" at Runyan Field to benefit CSU-Pueblo Athletes and Runyan Field as well as an annual dinner for the CSU-Pueblo baseball Alumni. Art also supports the KTSC-TV Station.
Because of his passion and dedication for education, Gonzales has helped hundreds of young adults earn their college degree while competing in intercollegiate sports at Colorado State University-Pueblo. He spends time with CSU-Pueblo student-athletes preaching the value of education and what it will do for them after they graduate. Many former student-athletes credit Art for not only helping pay for their education, but for the successes they have achieved after graduation.

Art was named to the CSU-Pueblo Athletics Hall of Fame, a Lifetime member of CSU-Pueblo "Friend's of Football" and sustaining Trustee of the CSU-Pueblo Foundation Board

Art is a lifetime Pueblo resident, having lived here for 87 years with his wife Lorraine.
