Graduated from Pueblo Central H.S. (1933)...Lettered in football (fullback and punter) for the Wildcats for four years (1929-32)...Averaged 48 yards on eight punts in that game against the Bulldogs... Also lettered in track for four years (1930-33) while competing in the shot put, javelin and 880-yard run events...Came close to shattering the javelin state record of 129' 2 " with a toss of 129' 0 " (1932) and added a mark of 127' 7 3/4" in 1933...Set SCL record at 127' 6" in 1932...Broke the Records of two GPSA Hall of Fame Honorees - David Packard of Pueblo Centennial (121' 11") in 1930 and set by Earl "Dutch" Clark of Pueblo Central (120' 2") in 1926... Competed in the SCL three consecutive years (1931-33) in shot put...Took third place in the SCL (shotput) as a sophomore in 1931.

Achievements:
● Football team captain in 1932 and scored 45% of the Wildcats points.
● Punted 80 yards (one of the longest in Pueblo History) versus Pueblo Centennial H.S. (10/8/1932).
● Colorado State Champion (all classes) two consecutive years in the discus.
● South Central League (SCL) discus champion three consecutive years 1931-33.
● Set the South Central League (SCL)  record of 132' 5 ½ " in the discus in 1933 (Record was never broken as existing discus was replaced by a lighter version in 1939).
● Won first place in discus and set Colorado College Relays record (122' 10").
● Colorado State shotput champion (all Classes) in 1932, placed second in 1933.
● Set the South Central League (SCL) shotput record at 49' 4 ½ " in 1933 (SCL record not broken until 1957 by Milliron of Colorado Springs).
● South Central League (SCL) Champion in the javelin 1932 and finished runner-up in 1933.

College:
Lettered three seasons in football playing fullback and punter for Tigers at Colorado College (CC) from 1933-35...Rushed for over 5.6 yards per carry over the entire 1935 CC football season...Was named captain-elect and All-Rocky Mountain Conference (RMAC) candidate in his senior year but was unable to compete due to scholastic ineligibility...Also lettered three seasons (1934-36) on the track team (shot put, hammer throw)...High point scorer on the CC track team in 1936.

College Achievements:
● Rushed for 196 yards in 40 carries versus Montana State (1935).
● As a sophomore, "Chink" set CC discus record (135' 6") in 1935.
● Broke discus record of Earl "Dutch" Clark (127' 7") set in 1928.
● As a junior, Mihalick broke the CC discus record of 136' 0" in 1936.
● Took fourth place in hammer throw in RMAC finals (1936).

Personal:
Lived in Pueblo, CO until his passing on April 26, 1976 at age 63.
