Before High School:
Attended Columbian, Park View and Fountain grade schools in Pueblo.

High School:
Attended Pueblo Centennial H.S., graduating in 1929.

Achievements:
● Used his experience as a route carrier, mail room employee and high school correspondent as a stepping stone to full-time newspaper reporter.
● Realized his dream of joining the staff of The Star-Journal starting in January, 1929.
● With enough credits to graduate, but still lacking his diploma from Pueblo Centennial H.S., he became a full-time member of editorial staff as an industrial reporter.
● When The Star-Journal Publishing Corp., acquired ownership of The Pueblo Chieftain in 1938, he was assigned to the staff of the morning newspaper as police and city hall reporter, a job he held until 1941.
● Resumed work on January 20, 1946 at The Pueblo Chieftain as the newspaper's sports editor.

Honors:
Served in the Army for four years, including two years in the China-Burma-India theater.

Professional Affiliations:
● Member of the Southern Colorado State College’s Booster’s Club executive committee.
● Also active with the Pueblo franchise in the old Western League.

Occupation:
● Sports Editor for The Pueblo Chieftain for 45 years.
● Started at The Pueblo Chieftain on January 20, 1911.

Personal:
Lived in Pueblo... Passed away on November 20, 1981 at age 70.
