Before High School:
● Played bantam football in Fairmont Park and at Mineral Palace.
● Attended Jefferson and Irving Elementary school.
● Played on three All-Star old timers baseball teams.
● Attended Freed Junior High School.
● Played half back on the 9th Grade City Championship football team,
● Played guard on the 9th Grade City Championship basketball team and was a city champ in the 440 and on the mile relay team that won the city championship.

High School:
Attended Pueblo Centennial, graduating in 1964.

Achievements:
High School:
● Earned eight varsity letters - three in football, two in basketball and three in baseball.
● All-City in football as a junior and was selected All-City, all conference and all state as a senior.
● Football team won the conference championship and lost the state championship game to Boulder.
● Selected to The Denver Post All-State First Team offense.
● Held the record of the longest run from scrimmage 99 yards against Wasson in 1963.
● Scored 72 points as a senior. [126 points in Career - Steel City Almanac pg 243].
● Outstanding baseball player - lettering all three years and being selected All-City as a junior and senior and All-Conference as a senior.
● Was a leading batter on the team that won the conference championship in 1964.

College:
Enrolled at Adams State in 1964 and played baseball and football and lettered in both...In 1965 he left Adams State and enlisted in the U.S. Army.

Honors:
● Served in Korea for 16 months.
● Played baseball in the military and was selected to the all-Division team two times.
● Played centerfielder on the team that won the 8th Army Championship.
● Played in the Jo sun I.B.E.O. Tournament.
● Also played in the military World Series and was named to the All-Star team.
● Upon leaving the service, finished his education with a degree in PE and Recreation.

Related Activities:
● Returned to Pueblo and worked for the Parks and Recreation Department for six years.
● Coordinator of baseball and softball programs.
● Coached the Old Timers at Sunset Park for three years and worked in the City Recreation program at Hellbeck one year.
● Worked at St. Leanders in the Father Powers program three years.
● Played softball for 16 years.
● Played in five world tournaments and has repeatedly been selected to All-star and All-tourney teams.
● Currently is employed as a civilian by the U.S. Army as an outdoor recreation specialist for Ft. Carson, a position he has served for two years.

Occupation:
Worked in the U.S. Army and as a civilian Recreation Director.

Personal:
Lives in Pueblo with his wife Mary Louise.
