● Played softball in her early years (left-handed) and was a clean up hitter for the National Broom Company that won the women's softball crown three years.
● Took up the game of golf and was the City Women's Champion in the 1950’s and 60’s.
Tezak's Story:
● Given a set of golf clubs by John Lutz and tips by Country club pro Paul Reitemeir to get her going in 1947.
● Won her first city Championship in 1950.
● An interesting matchup began when she defeated her daughter Claudia, for the city title in 1953 (Claudia was 15 at the time and just blossoming into a golfer who would eventually become a pro).
● Clauda bested her mother for the city title two straight years (1960-61).
● Without Claudia to challenge her, rebounded to capture the city title three consecutive years (1962-64) and retire the trophy.
● Characterized her play to a reporter once in this manner, "If I could putt like I can drive, I think I’d be scoring in the low 70s."
● Could outdrive many men.
● Also won titles around the state and in Wyoming, was a fierce competitor, one of the reasons she liked to tackle male counterparts. Her health dictated her retirement from sports.

Managed the Minnequa University Club for years, found time to get in only one round a week.

Lived in Colorado City with her husband, William... She passed away on September 21, 1984.
