Jack "Keith" Frazier

High School:
Attended Pueblo South H.S., graduating in 1965.

Achievements:
High School:
● A three-sport athlete (football, wrestling and track) and an eight-time letter winner for the Colts.
● Won Districts and qualified for State in wrestling 1964-1965.

College:
● Accepted a full ride scholarship to Western State College (WSC) for football, however he left WSC after one year to begin and support his family in Pueblo.
● Attended USC where he received a BA in Physical Education in 1967-1970...Received his master’s degree in physical education.

Coaching Career:
● City Gymnastics Champions - Central High School (1975-1982).
● League Gymnastics Champions (1976-1982).
● District Gymnastic Champions (1977-1982).
● State Softball Champions - participant (1978).
● State Gymnastic Champions (1978).
● State Gymnastic Runner-up (1979).
● Coached numerous gymnasts to individual and All-Around championships, including one All-American gymnast and Junior Olympic Competitor (1974-1982).
● University of Southern Colorado Division Champions (1982-1984).
● University of Southern Colorado National Qualifiers - USC finished 7th in the nation (1983-1984).
● City and League Volleyball Champions (14-0 record both seasons) (1992-1993).
● District Volleyball Champions (final records 16-6 and 18-4) (1992-1993).

Contributions:
● Guest Speaker - Colorado Health Physical Education and Recreation Conference (1975, 1983, 1994).
● Opened Horizons Gymnastics School to provide the community (boys and girls) with recreational gymnastics, in addition allowing high school athletes a safe place to practice at a competitive level (1980-1984).
● Designed the spring floor (using tennis balls) for floor exercise in gymnastics at Horizons Gymnastics School.
● Conducted National and State Gymnastics Clinics throughout Colorado - Pingree Park, Grand Junction, Montrose, Trinidad, Colorado Springs and Denver.
● Taught graduate and undergraduate classes in gymnastics through University of Southern Colorado and Adams State College.
● KIWANIS Coach of the Year - Youth Soccer (1984)

● Helen's Angels (organization formed to provide support for local teachers).
● American Legion Riders (assist, support and honor veterans and their families).
● Patriot Guard (support and honor veterans funerals).
● Pueblo Bikers United (annual toy run - often "Santa" at this event).
● Turkey Run participant (organizing and delivering meals to families in need).
● Remains an avid supporter of high school and college sporting events throughout Pueblo, continuing to maintain relationships within the athletic community.

Occupations:
● Began his teaching career in Physical Education at Jefferson Elementary in 1970.
● Moved to Heritage Elementary when Jefferson closed.
● Provided 30 years of teaching and mentoring grade school children and retired in 2000.

Personal:
Frazier was born in Pueblo, CO in 1948...He has been a residence of Pueblo for over 70 years.
