After the game I gathered the boys and tell them to take their helmets off. When their helmets are off, they need to change their attitudes. They aren't football players anymore. I tell them to go back to being a good boy, a good son, a good brother. They need to do their homework and keep up their grades. I’ve coached kids who turned out to be doctors, lawyers and teachers. The pay is not so good, but I get a lifetime of rewards and a lot of good friends through all of this.” l.
