Dennis Trujillo

High School
Ran for three years (1969-72) on the Bulldogs cross country and track teams.

Achievements:
High School:
● Two-time state champion in cross country (junior - 9:50.3 which was a state record at the time and senior - 10:05).
● Finished third his sophomore year at state (10:14).
● Two-time winner at state in track, in the Mile-Run as a junior (4:18.3) and senior (4:22.2).

College:
Went to West Point Academy, West Point, New York. Also earned a Masters Degree in Mathematics.

Achievements:
College:
● Runner on the cross country and track teams for the Black Knights four years (1972-76).
● Won Several Ivy League Championships in Track and Cross Country.
● Best times: mile (4:07); 2-mile time (8:42).
● Won Ivy League Cross Country Championship in 1974 at Van Cortland Park in New York.
● Went to three NCAA Track Championships.
● Finished fifth in 3-mile race and 10th in the 2-mile at NCAA Championships (1975).
● Also placed 12th in 10,000 meters at NCAA Indoor Championships (1976).

Related Activities:
● Open road Running: Qualified for 1980 Olympic Marathon Trials by running 2:21 at 1979 Dallas.
● White Rock Marathon, unable to compete in trials because of army deployment to Korea.

Occupation:
● Served in the military, now retired and as a Math Teacher in South Korea.

Personal:
Lives in Dong Du Chon, South Korea...Passed away on Nov. 28, 2022.
