High School:
Attended Pueblo South High School from 1972-76...Played baseball, basketball and football for the Colts... Led football team to a 10-0 record as the team's starting quarterback and defensive back.
High School Achievements:
● Dave was selected from that of being an Honorable Mention to being an All-State defensive back to the starting quarterback for the All-State football game.
● Named first team All-City (defensive back) and first team South-Central.
● Set many records at south in football (games started, tackles, intercepted passes, most career defensive touchdowns by a defensive back).
● Played on the Pueblo South basketball team that finished runner-up in the state of Colorado with a 20-1 record.
● On the Colts baseball team, Shaddy played second base and shortstop... He was a member of the Senior Showcase that pitted Pueblo's best baseball players against those from Colorado Springs.
College:
Shaddy attended the University of Colorado his freshman year (1976-77) was a member of Buffaloes Co-Big 8 Co-Champion team, who went on to Miami, FL, to play in the Orange Bowl against Ohio State...He later transferred to USC in Pueblo and earned All-Conference honors in football.
Contributions:
Dave did extensive work in community:
● Coached in the Old Timers Baseball Association (OTBA).
● Officiated YMCA youth basketball.
● Officiated USSA slow pitch softball.
Personal:
Shaddy currently lives in Parker, CO, with his wife, Christie... He was a Pueblo resident for over 30 years.
