Went to Pueblo Centennial H.S., and graduated in 1966...Played two season each on the football (1964-65) as a lineman and baseball team as a second baseman (1965-66).

● Named to the All-City baseball team.

Attended Western State College in Gunnison, CO, graduating in 1970...Played four seasons (1966-70) on the Mountaineers baseball team in the outfield.
Coaching Career:
● Took the reigns of the girls basketball program at Pueblo South H.S. in 1979.
● During a 15 year span, his teams was three state championships (1981, 1982, 1991).
● Also named the boys baseball head coach the same year he was hired to coach girls basketball (1979).

● The Colts baseball team under his tutelage compiled a record of 196 wins and 77 losses.
● In 15 seasons, his teams posted 12 double-digits win seasons.
● The Colts 18-3 record in 1986 was the best under his tenure.
● He led teams to six South Central League Championships (1981, 1982, 1986, 1990, 1991 and 1992).
● Pueblo South won the State Championship in 1984 and placed second in the 1991 state tournament.
● A three-time winner of the South Central League Baseball "Coach-of-the-Year" following the 1981, 1982 and 1991 seasons.
● He was named the Colorado Baseball "Coach-of-the-Year" following the teams state championship run in 1984.
