College: Myron attended Pueblo Junior College... He lettered two years in Basketball, earning both All-Conference and All-American honors (1954-56)... Poston was selected as the MVP of the National Junior College Tournament (1956) he played in under legendary basketball coach Harry "Chief" Simmons.

"Gene by basketball standards may not have been the biggest player on the court, however, he was a giant when it came to determination, skill and ability to lead and inspire his team to perform beyond their limits. Many superstars seek glory only for themselves, Gene on the other hand was always humble and unselfish and sought only to bring accolades to his team and the City of Pueblo. This is what endeared Gene to his teammates and the student body of every school he attended."
-- Frederick S. Moore

Personal: Poston was born in Canon City, CO and lived in Pueblo for 27 years... Myron passed away on March 9, 2018.
