GPSA Meetings

Below are the TENTATIVE meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2022 calendar year. All meeting are held on the third Monday of the month in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Banquet Date/Application Deadline

The deadline for nominations each year is Aug. 1.  The 2022 Banquet is tentatively set for Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022. Go to the Application tab above to download and fill out an application today.

Edward V. "Ed" Posa

High School: Attended Boy's High School in Brooklyn, New York, graduating in 1952...Played on the football team as a lineman for one season (1951)

College: Went to Wyoming University on a football Scholarship  and graduated in 1956... Posa played four years on the Cowboys football team as a lineman (1952-55) and played in the Gator Bowl.

Coaching Background: Ed began his coaching career shortly after college, landing in Del Norte H.S., where he spent three seasons (1956-58) as the school's head football coach...He then moved to Pueblo, CO where he served for two years as the football coach at Corwin Junior High...Posa returned to the H.S. coaching ranks, serving for three seasons as an assistant football coach (1960-63) at Pueblo East H.S., before taking over the program in 1964 for the next three years (1967)...Posa's coached Eagles teams in 42 games played, won 18 and  lost 22 with two ties.  During the 1967 season, Pueblo East went to the playoffs, beating Pueblo Central 6-0 in a South Central League playoff game (after losing to them a week earlier in the regular season, 7-3) before ending the season in a  state quarter-final game - a loss to Montrose (6-0) on Nov. 18, 1967.
