GPSA Meetings

Below are the TENTATIVE meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2022 calendar year. All meeting are held on the third Monday of the month in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Banquet Date/Application Deadline

Daniel Joseph “Coldbread or Rosie” Rosales

High School: Attended Pueblo Central H.S., graduating in 1955...Rosales was a three-year member of the track team, running distance events...He the record for the mile run (4;40) from 1953-67 in the South-Central League.

Coaching Background: Begin his career coaching volleyball and freshman basketball for six years (1983-86) at Pueblo East H.S... Rosales posted a career record of 108-36 coaching the Eagles volleyball squad...Placed third at the Colorado State High School Volleyball Championships - the only Pueblo team to make the State playoffs...Rosie as he was known, coached the Eagles Junior varsity for a year (996-97) and was selected as the 1987 "Coach of the Year" for Colorado Girls Sports by the Denver Post...Spent four years as the head volleyball coach at Pueblo Central H.S. (1993-96)...Rosales moved on to coach basketball (13 years) at all levels and at several high schools in Pueblo:
    - Junior Varsity,  Pueblo County H.S. (1988-90)
    - Head Coach,  Pueblo County H.S. (1990-94)
    - Junior Varsity, Pueblo Central H.S. (1994-96)
    - Head Coach, Pueblo East H.S. (1996-00)

Softball: Posted a record of 75-19 in four years of coaching the Hornets (1989-93)     
    - Head Coach. Pueblo County (1989-93)

    - 1993  All-Star Coach for 4A  5A Girls Basketball in Denver
    - 2011  Inducted into the Pueblo Softball Hall of Fame
    - On February 19, 2000, Rosales was presented with the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) "Top
      Coach of Women's Athletics” presented by State Farm Insurances from Boulder, CO.
    - Life Time Honorary Membership Colorado Board I.A.A.B.  #4
    - Southern Colorado Sports, Inc.  Mexican/American Hall of Fame in 1987
    - First President of the East High Boosters Club (East Pride)

Personal:  Lives in Pueblo with his wife, Dolores Marlene.
