GPSA Meetings

Below is a list of remaining meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2018 calendar year. All meeting held on the third Monday from Jan. to May and Aug. through Nov. in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Application Deadline

The deadline for nominations each year is Aug. 1.  The 2018 Banquet is tentatively set for Wednesday, Nov. 14. Go to the Application Tab above to download and fill out an application today.

William R. "Bill" Trevithick

High School: Attended Pueblo Central H.S., graduating in 1950... Played football (halfback) and tennis (doubles) for the Wildcats from 1948-50.
College: Went to Pueblo Junior College (PJC) and played tennis (singles and doubles) for two seasons (1951 and 1956)... He joined the Ninth Naval District where he played tennis and was a pitcher on the softball team  for three years (1952-54)...
Trevithick returned to Colorado and attended Colorado State College of Ed. (now the University of Northern Colorado) where he played one season of tennis (1957) before graduating in 1958.

Athletic Achievements:
    - Trevithick won the 1950 Colorado State H.S. Doubles Championship with Jerry Starika for Pueblo Central.
    - At PJC, Bob won the Conference Singles Championship in 1951.
    - Conference Doubles Champion with Ted Aguilera in 1956.
    - Ninth Naval District Singles Tennis Champion (1952-53).
Coaching Background: Bill coached the tennis teams at Pueblo Central H.S., for six years (1962-69)

Recreational Softball: Bill survived being hit by a Rip Ripley pitch (pitcher for the National Champion - Pueblo VFW softball team), during a game at the Pueblo City Park Softball Field

    - Taught Long Range navigation to Navy pilots from 1953-55. Skills needed for the Korean War.
    - Bill has served on the Board of the Pueblo Area Chapter of Credit Unions, the Boars of the Colorado Credit.
    - Trevithick continues to serve as Treasurer of Sunwest Credit Union, as well as serving on the Diocesan Finance
      Council for the Pueblo Diocese.
    - Elected "Volunteer of the Year" by the Colorado Credit Union Association (CCUA) in 2009.
    - In keeping with Athletics, he has organized five different golf tournaments for the Colorado Credit Union foundation, that
      raised over $25,000.
Professional Affiliations: Bill is a lifetime member of the National Education Association.

Honors: Elected to the Central High School “Hall of Honor” in 2013.

Occupation:  Teacher/Coach/Administrator in School District #60.

Personal: Lives in Pueblo, CO.
