GPSA Meetings

Below is a list of remaining meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2018 calendar year. All meeting held on the third Monday from Jan. to May and Aug. through Nov. in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Application Deadline

The deadline for nominations each year is Aug. 1.  The 2018 Banquet is tentatively set for Wednesday, Nov. 14. Go to the Application Tab above to download and fill out an application today.

Military: Served in World War I

Record as a professional Major league Baseball Player:
Height: 6’2”        Weight: 160lbs      First Game in Majors for the New York Yankees 09-25-1917 (Age 22) 

 

What They Said: New York March 6: "The New York American League club announced today the sale of Pitcher Ray Keating to the Boston National League club. It was stated that Pitchers Alexander Ferguson and Robert McGraw of the Yankees had notified Manager Huggins of their discharge from the Army.  R.T. McGraw, superintendent of the Rio Grande railroad, the boys father, received a letter from the secretary of the Yankees in which was enclosed a contract to be signed by Robert.  The letter stated that the contract had been sent to the Pueblo player to his address at the army camp in France." -- March 7, 1919  Pueblo Chieftain, pg 8
