GPSA Meetings

Below is a list of remaining meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2018 calendar year. All meeting held on the third Monday from Jan. to May and Aug. through Nov. in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Application Deadline

The deadline for nominations each year is Aug. 1.  The 2018 Banquet is tentatively set for Wednesday, Nov. 14. Go to the Application Tab above to download and fill out an application today.

Raymond T. "Ray" Baker

High School: Attended Pueblo Central and graduated in 1968.

Coaching Background: Spent 12 years as head girls softball coach at Lakewood High School (1995-2007)...Won two state championships (1997-98)...

Contributor: Founder of the "Gold Crown Foundation" - a non-profit organization in 1986...Provides basketball, golf, technology, and art to participants from 6-18...The Gold Crown Foundation also owns and operates outstanding youth facilities, The Gold Crown Field House, and the Coca-Cola All-Star Park...Chairman for the Blue Ribbon Transportation Committee ...Chairman of Colorado Governor Ritter's Highway panel...Board Member for the Denver Zoological Foundation...Board Member of the Alpine Bank and Steele Street Bank and Trust...Chairman of the Colorado Commission Higher Education...Headed the Completion of Coors Field and INVESCO Stadium...Chairman and board Member of the Metropolitan Football District...Chairman and Board Member of the Denver Metropolitan Major League Baseball Stadium District...Under Ray's guidance Coors Field and INVESCO Stadium were completed on time and under budget saving tax payers millions of dollars...

Honors: Named "Man of the Year" by the Anti-Defamation League (1996)...Baker was honored for his "Outstanding Contribution to Women's Sports" in 1986...He was also honored as "Man of the Year" by the Mizel Museum (2005).
