GPSA Meetings

Below is a list of remaining meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2018 calendar year. All meeting held on the third Monday from Jan. to May and Aug. through Nov. in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Application Deadline

The deadline for nominations each year is Aug. 1.  The 2018 Banquet is tentatively set for Wednesday, Nov. 14. Go to the Application Tab above to download and fill out an application today.

Joel Walter "Bear" Herzog

High School: Attended Pueblo South H.S., graduating in 1971...Played four years (1969-72) on the Colts tennis team (singles and doubles)...Record in High School 27-3...Qualified for State 1969, 1970, 1971.

College: Went to the University of Northern Colorado, in Greeley, CO... Played tennis for the Bears form 1972-76, posting a record of 52-12.

After College: Herzog participated in 76 sanctioned Tennis Tournaments in Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Denver, Aspen and Grand Junction...He entered Parkview Hospital’s Foundation Tournaments for several years - Proceeds go to furthering Parkview as a Medical Center...Entered First Tournaments to raise money for the USC Tennis program & donated time and items from his shop for Auction.

Coaching Background: Worked as the tennis coach at Fountain Valley High School (Fall of 1990) and many summers during High School and College.

Occupation: Entrepreneur - Owner of a Tennis Shop.

Personal: Herzog was married to his wife, Nancy Saltzman... Joel passed away on September 24, 1995.
