GPSA Meetings

Below is a list of remaining meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2018 calendar year. All meeting held on the third Monday from Jan. to May and Aug. through Nov. in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Application Deadline

High School: Attended Central H.S., graduating in 1982...Eileen competed on the varsity Wildcat Gymnastic Team -- receiving a letter all four years.

As an Athlete: Before high school at Central, Eileen was the only Pueblo gymnast (two from Colorado) to qualify and compete in Jr. Nationals in Eugene, Oregon. She achieved 2nd Place, United States Gymnastics Federation (USGF) All-Around State Competition with cumulative score advancing her to Jr. Nationals in May 1978. Competed in the Jr. National in 1979 in Houston, Texas with and All-Around score qualifying her to advance to the Jr. Olympics.

During her four years at Central, Eileen was a significant part of the Wildcats girls gymnastic team. In 1978, not only did Central gymnastics team win the Colorado State Championship, but Krasovec-Perez won the state individual championship including the state all-around championship. 'Ike' was the first Colorado gymnast to win this award as a freshman. She was an instrumental part in helping bring home the first state championship for a girls' sport to Pueblo. Below are other gymnastic highlights of Krasovec- Perez:

October 1978 - Central High School Cherry Creek Invitational - 1st Place All around, 1st Place Balance Beam and 1st Place Parallel Bars.
November 1978 - District Gymnastics Competition - Contributor to Central High Team Championship. Individual awards: 1st place Vault, 2nd place Floor Exercise, 2nd place Parallel Bars, 2nd place All-Around.
November 1978 - Central High School Gymnastics Team State Champions. Individual award - 1st Place All Around State Champion. First and only Pueblo Freshman to take State in All-Around Gymnastics Competition. (Ike competed with both feet taped up - only to learn both heels were broken.)

As a Contributor: Eileen was the team captain on the gymnastics team during her senior season (1982) .... She stayed on at Central after graduation, working as an assistant coach on the Wildcat gymnastics team for three seasons (1983-85) ...She was the floor exercise and balance beam choreographer for the University of Southern Colorado Gymnastics team (1982-1983) ...and was a high school and USGF competitive judge. She was a delegate for a Slovenian Fraternal Organization called the American Slovenian Catholic Union (KSKJ) to both the National Convention in Colorado and Washington D.C.

Personal Achievements: Krasovec-Perez served 10 years as the financial auditor for KSKJ, St. Joseph's Lodge #7 and is the current treasurer...Eileen is a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary #9644 in Fort Logan, CO., has been a member of the local Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary #145 for nearly two decades and is a past board member of the Pueblo Catholic Charities. She just celebrated her 22 years of service at St Mary-Corwin Hospital is currently the Executive Assistant to the CEO. Prior to her work at the hospital, she was the Assistant to the Colorado State Senator Reverend John R Beno.

Personal: Eileen is a Pueblo native, married 24 years to Vincent Perez and has a daughter Angela, a 2017 graduate of the Colorado State University-Pueblo.
