GPSA Meetings

Below is a list of remaining meetings dates for the GPSA during the 2018 calendar year. All meeting held on the third Monday from Jan. to May and Aug. through Nov. in the GPSA at Massari Arena. Dates are subject to change if necessary.

Application Deadline

The deadline for nominations each year is Aug. 1.  The 2018 Banquet is tentatively set for Wednesday, Nov. 14. Go to the Application Tab above to download and fill out an application today.

Deward Lee “Dewey” Thornton

High School: Attended Pueblo Central H.S., graduating in 1954..."Dewey" was a three-sport standout for the Wildcats from 1952-54, playing basketball (guard), baseball (1st base) and track (sprinter).

College: Went to Pueblo Junior College (PJC) and Western State College in Gunnison, CO...At PJC, Thornton played two seasons each of basketball (guard) and baseball (1st base)...He was the captain of the PJC basketball team that played in the National Junior College Tournament (1955-56)

  - Principal: Pueblo Centennial H.S. (1989-93)
Occupation: Thornton worked as a Teacher/Coach/Administrator for Pueblo School District #60.

Personal: Deward lives in Pueblo with his wife, Wendy Bramer.
