Attended Pueblo Central H.S., graduating in 1959.

College:
Went to the Colorado School of Mines, where he graduated in 1963.

Achievements:
● Published a book he researched in 1970 “Steel City Football Almanac” (SCFA) from 1892 to 1969 (Only 500 books were printed).
● The SCFA kept track of all scores, who did the scoring, the date and place of each game and was used to document the Central-Centennial game as the oldest high school rivalry west of the Mississippi.

Honors:
● Recognized April 21, 2005 by the Bonfils Blood Center as its only Southern Colorado Forty Gallon Donor.

Colorado Registered Engineers (1973).

Occupation:
Mihalick worked in the CF&I Steel Mill.

Personal:
Lives in Pueblo West, Colorado with his wife Joan. They have four children, Morgan (Randy) Alcon, Mystic Mihalick, Salem Mihalick, and Kris Mihalick
