GPSA Launches Website

Written By The Pueblo Chieftain | 07 February 2015

The Greater Pueblo Sports Association has made it easier for those interested in nominating an individual for its sports hall of fame.

The GPSA has launched a website at pueblogshof.com that includes a nominating form that can be filled out on screen.

The new website is still under construction. Eventually, it will contain information about the GPSA, its honorees, awards, greatest moments in sports history and sponsors.

The GPSA meets the third Monday of each month at the Hall of Fame room in Massari Arena on the Colorado State University-Pueblo campus. Meeting time is 7 p.m.

The meets are held from January through May and resumes from August through October with the banquet held in November.

Each November, the group holds a hall of fame induction banquet and also recognizes the top area prep male and female athletes, as well as the top male and female athletes at CSU-Pueblo. In 2015, for the first time, the group also will award an all-sports trophy to the school that performs best in all sports.

Each June the group selects its greatest moments on Pueblo Sports History.

Hall of fame nominations must be received by Aug. 1 for consideration this year.
